The McPherson County 2010 4-H Fair kicks off Friday. The following is a list of events for this year's fair:

Friday

-All events at First  United Methodist Church, 1200 E. Kansas Ave.

9 am- Clothing Construction Conference Judging
9:30 am - Fiber Arts Judging
5 pm- Hand Pet/Cat Show
7 pm- Public Fashion Revue and Judging

Saturday

8 am- Breakfast (free-will donation) - Extension Office (All 4-H families invited)
                   followed by Set-Up/Clean-up on the Fairgrounds.
                   All Families - not just those in the livestock projects.
8:30 am- Mandatory Livestock Meeting (Beef, Sheep, Swine, Dairy, Horse,
                   Rabbit, and Poultry) - Show Arena  (Be on time for this meeting!)
9 pm-11 am- FAIRGROUND CLEAN-UP/SET-UP - ALL 4-H FAMILIES
 
10;30 am- Check-In for Bike Rodeo - Extension Office Parking Lot
 
11 am- Bike Rodeo - Extension Office Parking Lot
 
5-5:30 pm- Horse Check-In - Saddle Club Arena, Crow's Nest
 
6 pm - Horse Show - Saddle Club Arena

Sunday

4 pm- Dog Show Check-In - Show Arena
 
5 pm- Dog Show - Show Arena

Monday

8:30-11 am - 4-H Building  open for exhibits - ALL EXHIBITS (INCLUDING LIVESTOCK)  MUST BE ENTERED BY 11 am.  The only exceptions are plane science, swine and dairy cows in milk.
8:30-10 am- Sheep & Meat Goat Weigh-In/Check-In
9:30 am- Foods/Food Preservation Judging
12:30-1:30 pm- Beef & Bucket Calf Weigh-In/Check-In
1 pm- Conference Judging: Exploring, Notebooks, Photography, Wildlife
1:30 pm - Conference Judging: Shooting Sports Displays
2 pm- Conference Judging: Self-Determined
2:30 pm- Conference Judging: Reading Displays, Decorated Cookie Jar
4-5 pm- Dairy Cattle Check-In (must be on grounds by 11:00 AM)
5 pm- Sheep Show (Arena)
6 pm- Poultry Show
 6:30 pm- Scavenger Hunt/Ice Cream Social (Arena) - OPEN TO ANYONE
7 pm- Meat Goat Show (Arena)

Tuesday

10-11 am- Poultry Judging Contest (Ext. Office)
11:30 am-5 pm- Walk-Through Judging Contests - Life Skills, Horticulture, Crops, Photography (Extension Office)
11:30 am- Dairy Goat Show (Arena)
12 pm- Dairy Show (Arena)
1 pm- Conference Judging: Electric, Entomology and Woodworking (4-H)
1 pm- Small Engine Judging Contest - (Chief)
4 pm- Beef Show (Arena)
6 pm- Dog Agility and Rally-O Competition (Saddle Club Arena)
 6:30 pm- Rural Appreciation Supper - Tickets must be picked up at local Merchants - Extension Office does not have them

7:30 pm- Barnyard Olympics (Following Beef Show) Watermelon Feed following Barnyard Olympics

1:30 pm- Livestock Skill-a-Thon Contest (Extension Office)
 3-5 pm- Water Carnival (South Lawn of 4-H Building - Bring your swimsuit!)
 5-6 pm- Pizza Party for ALL 4-H Families (4-H Building)
 7 pm- Swine Show (Show Arena)
 8:30 pm- All animal exhibits released (sale animals must stay)

Thursday

9 am- Fairground Clean-Up- All exhibits are released - 4-H members need to pick up exhibits - exhibits left after

11 am- will be taken to the Extension Office
                  Meeting Room for pick-up
 Noon- 53rd Annual Recognition Luncheon at Holiday Manor - Meal Count Due by noon Wednesday
 3 pm- Round Robin Practice - Mandatory for all participants
 5 pm- Round Robin Showmanship Contest
 6 pm- Buyer Appreciation Dinner - Tickets available to purchase at the Ext.
                   Office
 7:30 pm- Livestock Sale
