Four arrests made in rash of vehicle burglaries

Four arrests were made by the McPherson Police Department Wednesday afternoon in the 1200 block of S. Elm, McPherson, after an overnight rash of vehicle burglaries and thefts.
The first report was filed at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of S. Ash. Three vehicles were rifled through and items were taken from two. Six additional reports were filed throughout the day at various locations, with the last report filed 1:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of S. Main. A total of 11 vehicles were hit. All had been left unlocked. Total loss was reported at $2,030.
At 2:12 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrested a 35-year-old female, originally from Salina, who now lives in McPherson. Two 18-year-old Salina males and a 17-year-old Salina male were also arrested. The juvenile was released to juvenile intake personnel. The other three were booked into the McPherson County Jail on seven counts of burglary, criminal damage to property and seven counts of misdemeanor theft. They were  held in lieu of $22,000 bond each.
A majority of the items taken were recovered. The value of the recovered property is estimated at $1,950.
