McPherson Police
An officer responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident at First and Main at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday. The drivers were Julia A. Elmore, McPherson, and Jon Radke, Hays. Elmore was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.
At 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, an officer filed a report regarding a theft that occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of W. First. Loss is reported at $1,200. The investigation is continuing.
At 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers filed a report regarding a burglary, theft and criminal damage that occurred in the 700 block of Somerset Place. Someone entered the residence and ate food, damaged food and property. Loss is reported at $310.
An officer filed a report at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday reference a burglary and theft that occurred in the 400 block of S. Chestnut. A mixer, valued at $200, was taken and a lock-set, valued at $20, was damaged.
Officers filed a report reference burglary and theft from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of W. Marlin between 4:05 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. A shotgun and a camera, valued at $900, were taken.
Sheriff
Deputies and a Lindsborg officer responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident at 14th Avenue and Sundance Lane at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday. The drivers were Eloise M. Peterson, Lindsborg, and Jeremy L. Erickson, rural Roxbury.
At 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, deputies filed a report regarding burglary, theft and criminal damage to property that occurred in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue between 3:45 p.m. and 5:17 p.m. Wednesday. A laptop computer, valued at $264, and personal prescription medication were taken.

CANTON -- An officer and a deputy sheriff responded to the 500 block of S. Main at 6 p.m. Wednesday reference possible fraud. A McPherson male was arrested on two McPherson County District Court warrants - one for failure to appear and the other for six counts of violation of check laws. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held on the “no bond” failure to appear warrant. The owner of the subject’s vehicle arrived and was arrested on two McPherson County District Court warrants for insufficient funds checks, two Saline County District Court warrants - one for failure to appear and the other for a worthless check and a Rice County District Court warrant for failure to appear. She was booked into the Rice County Jail and released on $3,725 bond.
