Pat M. Baytosh, 78, died Dec. 22, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 4, 1930, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ernie J. and Myrt Lawson. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was an employee of Wiley’s Dept. Store for many years and also taught swimming lessons at the YMCA and for the Red Cross. She was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter #1371.
On March 8, 1948, she married John T. Baytosh in Hutchinson. He died Oct.11, 2001.
Survivors include:  a son, Terry Baytosh and wife Lisa of Hutchinson; a daughter, Pam Sander and husband Aaron of McPherson; a sister; Eva Curtiss of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, William John Baytosh, Chris Baytosh, Danielle Biery, Brittney Baytosh, Wendy  Rich-ards and Jason Smith; nine great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister Goldie Hefling.

She donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical School. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Wakeeney.  There will be a book to sign 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, through Sunday, Dec. 28, at Elliott Mortuary.
