Park University played longball here Tuesday to hand Central Christian College’s Tigers a pair of MCAC baseball setbacks.
Park had three homers in the first game to key a 17-2 triumph. Nick Kouratou had two of the Pirates’ homers and Jessie Kearns had the other, and both drove in five runs.
Park took command of the game early by scoring seven runs in the second inning.
Wayne Wooten had a double and single to lead Central.
Park won the second game 14-4, with Ryan Weedin and Marcos Kbarzos going yard for the Pirates. Mickey Solarek starred in defeat for the Tigers, going 3 for 3, including a double.
CCC hung tough early, but Park scored six in the fourth to break open what had been a close game.
The Tigers, 0-4 in the MCAC and 9-17 overall, play today at Northwest Oklahoma State and then go to Oklahoma Wesleyan for a four-game weekend set.
