At 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, an officer filed a report regarding a phone and Internet scam. Two McPherson residents lost $2,500 in a securities fraud scam. The investigation is continuing.
Officers responded to the 100 block of S. Lakeside Drive at 2:11 a.m. Wednesday reference criminal damage to property, a state-reportable, non-injury, hit-and-run accident and a domestic disturbance. A McPherson male was arrested for driving under the influence - second offense, violating the duties to report an accident, criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $2,445 bond.
At 12:52 a.m. Tuesday, deputies, McPherson EMS personnel, McPherson firefighters and McPherson officers responded to a state-reportable, injury accident at US-56 and Limestone Road. One patient was transported to Memorial Hospital. He was treated and released. The driver, an Assaria male, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while suspended, and cited for failure to report an accident, no proof of insurance, refusal of a preliminary breath test and failure to maintain a single lane. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $700 bond. A passenger, a Lindsborg male, was arrested for obstruction. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $500 bond.
A deputy filed a report at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday reference a burglary and theft that occurred in the 1000 block of Arapaho Road between Jan. 15 and Tuesday. Two generators and a tool kit, valued at $817, were taken.
