A card shower for Dorothy Seaburn of Salina is requested to celebrate her 90th birthday. She was born in Augusta on April 5, 1920, to Cleo and Bessie Ray. She attended Lily Lake school in Augusta. On Oct. 14, 1936, she married Jay Seaburn. He passed away June 1, 1978.
She has two daughters: JoAnn Hendershot, and Sharon Rush and husband Charles of Salina. Three grandchildren: Bob Hunter of Salina, Steve Darrah of Topeka and Julie Crowston and husband Chad of Maple Valley, Wash. Three great-grandchildren: Jessica Darrah, Des Moines, Iowa; and Darrah and Scott Crowston, Maple Valley, Wash.
Dorothy and her family moved to McPherson in 1942 where she was to live for the next 64 years. She worked many years for ABC Cleaners and 26 years for Duckwall/Thoman.
A fall in 2006 made it necessary to move to Salina to be near her daughters, leaving behind many, many friends.
