GALVA -- Canton-Galva’s baseball team dropped a twinbill to Halstead Monday in its season opener.

The Dragons scored seven runs in the seventh inning to break away to a 14-2 victory in the opener.

Taylor Koehn took the loss. Nathan Bray had two hits to lead C-G.

In the second game, it was a 3-all tie going into the seventh when the Dragons scored four runs. The Eagles came back with a run in the bottom of the inning to fall, 7-4.

Codey Johnson pitched a solid game for the Eagles, only to take the loss. Koehn and Brett Williams had two hits apiece for the Eagles. Nick Vogts scored two.
