At 10:43 a.m. Tuesday, deputies, Inman firefighters, McPherson firefighters, McPherson EMS personnel and Emergency Management personnel responded to a state-reportable, injury accident at 8th Avenue and Comanche Road involving a UPS truck and an empty anhydrous ammonia semi. The semi ended up upright, partially submerged in water at the northeast corner of the intersection.
The drivers were Michael Bradford, Hutchinson, and Richard Robinson, Lindsborg. Two patients were transported to Memorial Hospital, McPherson.
Damage to a guardrail was also reported. Bradford was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. A hazmat spill of diesel fuel was reported.
