Moundridge’s boys received a first-place finish from Aaron Fast in the 110 hurdles to highlight their performances Tuesday in the Hesston Quint.

The Wildcats scored 46 points to trail Hesston (114 1/2), Sterling (111 1/2) and Halstead (48). Centre (23) was the other team in the field.

Cory Graber did not win an event for MHS, but scored heavy points by taking second in the long jump, triple jump, 400 and 200.

The MHS girls scored 28 points to take fifth, trailing Hesston (136), Sterling (75), Halstead (55) and Centre (48).

Michelle Kaufman had the top effort for the Wildcats by winning the javelin by nearly 13 feet. The next-top Wildcat individual finishes were thirds by Marieke Bergen in the 3,200 and Sara Ullom-Minnich in the 100.
