McPherson College head men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber would like to announce plans for the McPherson College summer basketball camp.
The camp will be held June 7-10 in the Sport Center at McPherson College. The camp is open to any boy or girl who will be in grades 2-8 in the fall of 2010.
The camp will consist of teaching basic basketball fundamentals, including shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, footwork, and defense along with team and individual drills.
Contests will be held in Hot Shot, free throw, one-on-one and three-on-three.  Campers will be divided according to their age and ability.
The camp session will be from 1:30-3:30 each day.
New McPherson College women’s coach Cy Rolfs, along with members of the men’s and women’s teams at McPherson College, will be included on the camp staff.
Swartzendruber just completed his second year as head coach of the Bulldogs.  The 2009-10 campaign was one of the most successful in school history as McPherson qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time ever and finished 20-9 overall.  Four Bulldogs received All-Conference recognition and one received the NAIA Scholar-Athlete award.
Registration forms are available at mcpherson.edu on the men’s basketball page.
The deadline to register is May 28.
