5:30 a.m.
Craig gets to school early to open the doors, clean the entryways and carpets and make sure the heating or air conditioning is working.

7 a.m.
He sets up the breakfast area for 70 to 90 kids, monitors for spills during breakfast, then cleans up the area for classes.

8:30 a.m.
Craig cleans up trash from the playground, checks for e-mails, and runs errands when his assistant arrives.

11:30 a.m.
He sets up for lunch and monitors for spills and messes until 1 p.m., then checks the bathrooms to make sure they’re stocked.

2:30 p.m.
Craig checks with teachers to find things that need to be fixed, cleans the kitchen and checks in with the other custodians before leaving at 3:30 p.m.
