CONWAY -- An Inman man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at US-56 and 8th Avenue at 8:58 a.m. Friday morning.
According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Clyde R. Rice, 75, Inman, was traveling north on 8th Avenue and failed to yield from a stop sign. He struck the passenger side of an eastbound semi driven by Rex L. Weirich, 56, Great Bend.
Units from the Kansas Highway Patrol, McPherson County Sheriff’s Office, Conway firefighters, McPherson firefighters and McPherson EMS responded. US-56 was closed for a short period of time.
Rice was transported to Memorial Hospital, McPherson, for treatment of serious injuries. Weirich was not injured.
