Bethany College’s Andrew Westbrook, a junior defensive back from Canton, has received the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2010 season.
The NAIA honored 23 KCAC football players from nine conference members as scholar-athletes for outstanding achievement in the classroom. Nationally, 231 football student-athletes received the NAIA Scholar Athlete Award. In order to receive this award, an individual must be nominated by his head coach, achieved junior standing academically,and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Westbrook is the son of Marvin and Darla Westbrook and is majoring in mathematics and engineering while at Bethany.
