At 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters, EMS personnel and a deputy sheriff responded to the 1600 block of 14th Avenue for a garage fire. No additional information was available at press time.
Firefighters, EMS personnel and police officers responded to the 1300 block of N. Elm at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday for a structure fire. Red Cross personnel also responded. No additional information was available at press time.
At 11:29 a.m. Tuesday, officers filed a report reference theft of water from a fire hydrant that occurred in the 600 block of E. Anna. Loss is reported at $500. Charges are pending.
At 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, an officer filed a report reference a theft that occurred in the 200 block of S. Centennial. A 34-year-old female was caught shoplifting merchandise valued at $47.98. Theft charges are pending.
An officer responded to a minor, non-injury accident on private property in the 2000 block of South Front Street at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday. The drivers were Cheylyn R. Vannest, Newton, and Amellea Nestor, McPherson.
At 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to a minor, non-injury accident at Kansas and Centennial. The drivers were Michael Parret, Wichita, and Jeanne D. Kirk, Lindsborg.
An officer responded to a minor, non-injury accident on private property in the 200 block of S. Centennial at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday. The drivers exchanged information. No report was requested.
Officers and EMS personnel responded to the 400 block of W. Marlin at 10:21 p.m. Tuesday for a possible domestic disturbance. A patient was transported to Memorial Hospital. The victim stated she fell down the stairs and declined to provide further information.
At 10:37 p.m. Tuesday, an officer filed an information report regarding a fight that occurred in the 300 block of N. Maple at 10 p.m. A subject was treated at Memorial Hospital. He declined to pursue any charges.
At 7:13 p.m. Tuesday, deputies, a state trooper, McPherson EMS personnel and McPherson firefighters responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident on I-135, exit 60. A subject declined medical service. A Wichita male was arrested for driving under the influence, no proof of insurance, refusal of a preliminary breath test and an arrest and detain warrant from the Kansas Department of Corrections. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held on the “no bond” warrant.
