The Bethany College men moved up a spot in the final conference seedings by virtue of a 78-71 victory Saturday over Tabor College at Hahn Gymnasium.
The Swedes and Bluejays both finished 11-7 in KCAC play, but Bethany earned the No. 3 seed on the tiebreaker, while Tabor will be No. 4.
The Swedes will host Saint Mary at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the KCAC Postseason Tournament. They already own two wins over the Spires this year.
Bethany, 13-15 overall, had terrific balance in the victory, as Haydon Parks and Jack Sadowy scored 15 points apiece, while Trey Beachum and Chris Dean tallied 14. Quenton Jennings gave the Swedes five players in double figures with 11.
Bethany led 36-31 at the half and then shot 57 percent in the second half to pull away.
Lawson Kingsley and Damon Dechant led Tabor with 14 points.
If the Swedes win their tourney opener, they’ll play Saturday either at McPherson College or at home against Southwestern. Tip time will be 2 p.m.

TABOR WOMEN 56, BETHANY 45 -- The Swedes qualified as the No. 8 seed for the postseason tournament, with their reward being a 7 p.m. game Thursday at KCAC co-champion Sterling.
Bethany finished 4-14 in KCAC play, tied with McPherson College for eighth place. But the Swedes won the tiebreaker by sweeping the Bulldogs during the regular season.
The Swedes led the Bluejays 27-25 at the half, but suffered through a power outage in the second half, making just 4 of 27 shots and scoring only 18 points.
Tamara Garner led the Swedes, 6-22 overall, with 11 points. Tabor was led by Katlyn Mary, who drained 6 of 10 from 3-point to finish with 27 points.
