Central Christian College’s baseball team ushered in the Jon Shockley coaching era by going 1-2 over the weekend.
A recap:
Dallas Christian 12, Central 4 -- It was an even game after the first inning, as Dallas Christian scored eight times. CCC’s Aaron Premer came out smoking, going 4 for 5. The Tigers had 10 hits and committed only one error. David Cummings took the loss.
Park 4, Central 2 -- In a well-played game, CCC led 2-1 until the fourth when Park scored twice, then added another run in the sixth. Kyle Richter allowed only two hits and two of the runs he allowed were unearned. Brett Frost had two hits and two RBI for CCC.
Central 12, Dallas Christian 0 -- Frost was amazing on the mound, firing a one-hitter and fanning 14. CCC had 14 hits and scored in all but one inning. Frost and Sam Carr homered, with Carr and Taylor Froelich collecting three hits apiece. Carr and Wade Wedow drove in three runs apiece.
