Ms. Candace Elaine (Candy) Hamilton, 53, of McPherson, passed away at 4:30 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2011, peacefully at McPherson Care Center.
Ms. Hamilton was born in McPherson on March 13, 1958, the daughter of the late Harold Edgar and Celia Jane (Ditter) Hamilton.
Candy attended the McPherson grade schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 1976.
She a former member of a Baptist Church in Hutchinson.
She was a Kitchen assistant at Pheasant Run Restaurant at Hays. She was also a caregiver working through LINK.
Candy was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 Ladies Auxiliary, McPherson.
Survivors include: sisters Cheryl (James) Christiansen of McPherson, Carol (Floyd) Rush of South Hutchinson; brothers Harold (Peggy) Hamilton of The Woodlands, Texas; brother-in-law Les Byer of Marion; her feline companion, Morris; seven nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Celia Byer, nephew Brian Rush and great-niece McKynze Morris.
At the family's request there will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at Canton Township Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, with Pastor Tom Mayse officiating. 
Members of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 2715 will also perform services at the cemetery.
