Piping Technology Corporation (PTC) jumped into a commanding lead after first-round competition last week in the Double E Pheasant Ranch Trap and Skeet League.
PTC’s five-man team scored a 374 to lead second-place Double E, which recorded a 347 during the first week of competition. Each member of the five-man team shoots one round of skeet (25 shots), one round of singles trap (25 shots) and one round of doubles trap (50 shots) during the weekly competition.
Rex Echer of PTC shot a perfect singles trap round and a 45 in doubles trap to lead his team. Other top scorers on the PTC team were Larry Kavouras and Todd Kavouras, who recorded 24s in skeet.
Leading the Double E team was Ed Zoch, who shot a 45 in doubles trap.
NCRA, led by Mark Crist’s perfect singles trap round, is in third place with a 340, followed by Welco (298), Viega (288) and Exterran (270).
Teams compete each Thursday evening at the pheasant ranch on 15th Avenue north of Pioneer Road.
