At 4:14 p.m. Friday, an officer took an information report regarding a juvenile late returning home. The juvenile’s aunt was to have picked him up after sports practice. When practice ended early, the juvenile ran four miles to her residence on Navajo.
An officer responded at 5:47 a.m. Saturday to a theft in the 1500 block of Trail North. The reporting party said two speakers had been taken from a vehicle sometime between 11 p.m. April 22 and 5:47 a.m. April 23. Loss estimated at $150.
Officers responded at 7:05 p.m. Saturday to a 911 hang-up call in the 900 block of N. Grimes. They took a report of a verbal domestic disturbance between a 55-year-old male and a 60-year-old female.
Deputies, McPherson EMS personnel, Canton EMS personnel and Galva firefighters responded to an injury accident at 21st and Iron Horse at 2:48 p.m. Saturday. A vehicle driven by 64-year-old Sally A. Train, Lindsborg, collided with a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Maurice L. Wedel, Galva, at an intersection. Patients were transported to Memorial Hospital. A utility pole and a telephone pole were also struck as a result of the accident.
A deputy responded to a burn near 14th and Quivira at 8:31 p.m. Saturday. It was a controlled burn that had been called in earlier. The deputy was unable to contact the subjects involved in the burn.
At 5:36 a.m. Saturday, firefighters, EMS personnel and McPherson police officers responded to the 1000 block of Sycamore Place for a possible structure fire. It turned out to be an illegal burn; a subject at this location started a fire in his backyard and went to bed before the fire was completely out.
INMAN -- An Inman officer and a McPherson County sheriff’s deputy responded to a domestic disturbance at 1:16 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of S. Pine. They arrested a 25-year-old Hutchinson male on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was later released on a $125 bond.
GALVA -- Firefighters, a police officer, McPherson EMS personnel and McPherson County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of S. Mulberry for a medical emergency at 12:09 a.m. Saturday. A patient was transported to Memorial Hospital.
CANTON -- At 1:19 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to a driving complaint that occurred on U.S. Highway 56 westbound from Hillsboro. The officer contacted the driver of the vehicle at his residence and advised him of the complaint.
