The Victory Sports Network (VSN) will travel to Salina this weekend for the Victory Sports Network’s Fifth Annual Senior Classic at Salina Stadium.
Kickoff is set for noon Saturday, with a streaming video pregame show to start at 11:30 a.m.
“This is an event I look forward to every year as if it were an NAIA National Championsip,” said Jason Dannelly, owner and founder of VSN. “These former NAIA football players make the game. It’s 120 of the NAIA’s best laying it on the line and their attitude and effort show it.”
The live “VSN NAIA Football Game of the Week” will be available at http://www.victorysportsnetwork.com/ by clicking the “Live Streaming” link on the upper right hand side of the page which will connect to the VSN Livestream channel.
McPherson College will be represented by seniors Ginikachi Ibe, Shelton Thigpen, Aaron Lafitte, Will Powers and Rattanak Muor. Bethany players taking part will be Sean Johnson, Jeffrey Simplice, Robert Anderson, Alex Marcelin and Roger Grant.
John Thayer of VSN will provide the play-by-play while Dannelly will be featured doing color commentary. KCAC Commissioner Dr. Scott Crawford and crew will help produce the event. The broadcast will also include halftime interviews with a variety of people.
Last year’s Senior Classic attracted over 1,000 people and 120 student-athlete participants. The Nationals downed the Americans, 34-21 to take the lead in the overall series at 3-1.
