Bethany College Film Professor Eric Monder will teach a six week course at McPherson College this summer on the suspense/thriller film genre. Dubbed the "Summer of Suspense," the course will take a new look at this classic and popular Hollywood genre. The films will be screened on a new, state-of-the-art screen at McPherson College, followed by discussions on how suspense is created and why audiences enjoy being scared. The films and dates are: Nosferatu (1922) - July 11 Rear Window (1954) - July 18 Homicidal (1961) - July 25 Moment to Moment (1966) - Aug. 1 Rosemary's Baby (1968) - Aug. 8 Mullholland Drive (2001) - Aug. 15 Short films will also be shown. No textbook is required. Tuition will be $90 for the entire six weeks, or $18 for individual night attendance. The films will be shown in the Melhorn Science Building, room 112.
