Five-on-five games, three-on-three games, Hot Shot contests, free throw contests and one-on-one contests are just part of the activities planned for the annual McPherson College Basketball Camp.
The camp will be held June 13-16 at the Sport Center on the campus of McPherson College from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. daily.
Any boy or girl who will be in grades 2-8 in the fall of 2011 is eligible to participate.
McPherson College men’s head coach Tim Swartzendruber will direct the camp and head women’s coach Cy Rolfs will also be a member of the staff. Men’s assistant T.J. Eskildsen, along with members of the men’s and women’s teams, will also assist Swartzendruber.
“The opportunity to work with kids and teach them the game of basketball is always a highlight of my summer. Our camp will focus on fundamentals and individual improvement, but we also have a lot of fun,” Swartzendruber said.
Each person who registers before the June 3 deadline will receive an official camp T-shirt along with a basketball. Special discounts are given for families who have multiple students enroll.
“We have an excellent staff and look forward to seeing a great turnout for our camp,” Swartzendruber said.
