McPherson County commissioners approved a request by Pheasants Forever to have directional signs installed on county right of way roads for its Uplands Outdoor Life center north of Conway during Monday's meeting.
The center provides hunter education courses for the area. The signs will be installed at the expense of Pheasants Forever, using county labor. The signs still need to be approved by the Kansas Department of Transportation to ensure they meet state requirements.
In other business, commissioners approved spending $4,470 for a new climate control system at the 1879 schoolhouse in Lindsborg’s Heritage Square area.
