Officers responded at 8:41 p.m. Sunday to an unwanted subject in the 500 block of S. Tulip. They took an information report of a verbal disturbance between a 24-year-old male and an 18-year-old female.
Officers responded to a possible child in need of care in the 800 block of S. Chestnut at 10:52 a.m. Monday. They spoke with a male subject and determined the child was OK.
An officer took a report at 4:13 p.m. Monday of a minor accident that occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the 800 block of S. Walnut. The reporting party had been sitting in her vehicle when it was bumped by another vehicle. The drivers got out, looked at their vehicles and left the area when they did not see any damage. After arriving home, the reporting party’s husband noticed damage and notified police.
A deputy responded to an accident at 9:27 a.m. Sunday near 29th Avenue and Iron Horse Road. A vehicle that had been wrecked was left unattended at this location. The deputy arranged for the vehicle to be towed and impounded. The owner, 48-year-old Kevin Clegg, was contacted and cited for failure to report an accident.
At 3:24 p.m. Sunday, a deputy investigated a non-injury accident near mile marker 59 on Interstate 135. At 1:30 p.m., a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Lakiesha Lynn Olivas, Hutchinson, was damaged when it ran over debris in the road.
Firefighters and police officers responded at 2:46 a.m. Sunday to an illegal burn in the 1100 block of N. Wheeler. The fire was in an approved outdoor fireplace.
At 7:48 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to the 400 block of W. Kansas for an oxygen bottle that was leaking.
Kansas Highway Patrol
A trooper, McPherson County deputies and McPherson EMS personnel responded at 2:56 p.m. Sunday to a two-vehicle, injury accident near mile marker 45 on northbound Interstate 135. A 2007 Ford pickup driven by 21-year-old Steven Edward Talbert of Splendora, Texas, rear-ended a 2003 Toyota driven by 21-year-old Brett Jamison Wolfe of Orlando, Fla. The Talbert vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled over. A passenger in that vehicle, Jeffier Rena Dawson of College Station, Texas, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. Five other subjects refused service.
Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks
An officer cited a Gypsum male and a McPherson male for no fishing license, short catfish and cereal malt beverage at Maxwell State Lake at 9:25 a.m. Sunday.
MARQUETTE - An officer and a sheriff’s deputy responded at 5:01 p.m. Sunday to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of N. Jackson. A male subject was arrested on a charge of domestic violence battery. A six-hour hold was placed on the subject, who was released on a $500 bond.
INMAN - At 5:29 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to City Park for a child stuck in some playground equipment. Everything turned out OK.
