Kimberly Strathman and Brent Unruh, both of Hillsboro, were united in marriage on Sept. 4, 2010, at the First Christian Church in Manhattan. Paul J. Allen IV performed the double-ring ceremony. Cyril and Lauren Russell of McPherson performed the music for the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father and wore a white organza, strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a rouched bottom embellished with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Michelle Deters, cousin of the bride of Manhattan, was the maid of honor. Sydney Waner of Topeka, Sierra Langley of Hillsboro, Danielle Hasenkamp of Emporia, and Cheyenne Strathman, sister-in-law of the bride, of Goff, were bridesmaids. They wore red, satin tea-length gowns with a black sash. Lauryn Mayfield of McPherson was the bride's personal attendant. Corey Unruh, brother of the groom of McPherson, was the best man. Dave Evans of Manhattan, Martin Koehn of McPherson, Aaron Buchanan of Manhattan and Andrew Strathman, brother of the bride, of Goff, were groomsmen. Justin Strathman and Tim Strathman, both uncles of the bride and from Goff, were ushers along with Brock Nieman of Hillsboro, Mike McMurray of Hillsboro and Kevin Bernhardt of Hillsboro. Andrea Jost of Hillsboro and Heather Burk of McPherson were taper lighters. The driver was Bill Brauer, cousin of the groom, of Kansas City. The ring bearer was Cameron Strathman, cousin of the bride, of Goff. The flower girl was Hayley Strathman, cousin of the bride, of Goff. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held at Kite's Grille and Bar in Aggieville, Manhattan, Sept. 3, 2010. A reception was held at the Houston Street Ballroom in Manhattan. The reception was hosted by Richard and Toni Brauer, uncle and aunt of the groom, of McPherson. The guest book attendants were Andrea and Allison Roggenkamp of Seneca. Following a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple is at home in Hillsboro. Kimberly is the daughter of Mark and Denise Strathman of Goff. She attended Kansas State University and is employed as a customer service specialist for Midway Motors in Hillsboro. Brent is the son of Rick and Lori Unruh of McPherson. He is a graduate of Pratt Community College and is employed as a journeyman lineman for Flint Hills Rural Electric.
