There will be two sessions of the Bullpup Basketball Camp this summer, MHS coach Kurt Kinnamon announced.

The first session is from May 31 to June 3, while the second session is from July 5-8.

All sessions will be held at McPherson High School, in either the Roundhouse or the auxiliary gym.

Here are the sessions, with the grades listed for the 2011-12 school year:

Boys K-2 and girls K-1 -- 10 to 11:15 a.m.
Boys 3-5 -- 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Boys 6-8 -- 1:15 to 2:30 p.m.

This is Kinnamon’s 25th year of working summer camps. He has worked camps at Indiana University, the University of Kansas and the University of North Carolina.

McPherson Middle School coach Tyler Brown will be present during the first camp session to help with players going into the eighth grade. Current and former Bullpup players also will be helping.

Sessions include talks by current and former Bullpups, fundamental skill stations, games and contests where everyone is a winner (all campers receive a prize), 8-foot goals for the younger players and use of “The Gun” shooting machine.

The cost is $50 for one camper, $70 for two campers and $85 for three campers.
