Explanation
McPherson County experienced minimal changes in the Planning and Zoning Department budget simply because no new costs existed. While pay increases were issued to employees of the department, costs were offset due to decreased travel expenses for 2012. Those expenses, which allow department administrator Kenneth Cook to travel to national conventions every other year, likely will reappear in the 2013 budget.
