HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson police
An officer responded to the 1300 block of Oakmont at 11:55 a.m. Friday and took an information report of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass and burglary and theft. Someone kicked in two doors at the residence and took $140 cash. Total loss and damage estimated at $1,200.

At 10:07 p.m. Friday, an officer responded to a theft in the 400 block of North Eshelman. Loss was estimated at $1,435.

At 1:19 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to a theft in the 1100 block of North Grimes. Someone kicked in a door at the residence and took a laptop valued at $500.

Sheriff
A deputy, along with firefighters and EMS personnel from Moundridge, responded at 2:27 a.m. Saturday to assist Harvey County with a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 135 near northbound mile marker 43.

Fire
Firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded at 4:02 p.m. Friday to a stove on fire in a house in the 1500 block of North Sunflower. The resident was able to put it out, and everything was OK.

Area
MOUNDRIDGE - Firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded at 10:52 p.m. Saturday to a fire alarm in the 700 block of North Christian. It turned out to be a malfunctioning detector, and the alarm was false.
