Alice B. Selzer, 87, passed away on Oct. 23, 2011, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born on Oct. 7, 1924, in rural Canton, the daughter of Edward and Lorena Neuschwanger Selzer.


Alice B. Selzer, 87, passed away on Oct. 23, 2011, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born on Oct. 7, 1924, in rural Canton, the daughter of Edward and Lorena Neuschwanger Selzer. She worked in the hospital kitchen for the Glenwood Springs, Colo., and Phoenix hospitals for more than 40 years. She also worked as a church secretary for the First Mennonite Church in Phoenix.
Alice was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Phoenix.
She is survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elsie Miller, brothers Wilbur and Merle Selzer.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, at Schowalter Villa Chapel in Hesston with Chaplain Wendy Miller officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Spring Valley Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
