McPherson police
An officer responded at 9:53 a.m. Friday to the 400 block of North Mulberry for a theft from a vehicle. Someone broke into the vehicle, took a stereo and damaged the vehicle’s dashboard in the process. Total loss was $350.

At 9:51 p.m. Saturday, an officer took a report of a burglary and theft from a vehicle that occurred either Nov. 18 or Nov. 19. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took a purse. Total loss was estimated at $82.

A deputy responded to an accident near mile marker 56 on northbound Interstate 135 at 2:26 a.m. Friday in which a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Khamsone Keosyhavong of Wichita struck a deer.

Firefighters, EMS personnel and officers responded at 11:51 p.m. Saturday to an alarm in the 600 block of South Elm. It turned out to be a defective CO detector.

LINDSBORG – Firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded to the 200 block of North Main for smoke in a residence at 12:22 p.m. Friday. It turned out to be food left in a microwave.

MOUNDRIDGE – Moundridge firefighters, Hesston EMS personnel and a McPherson County sheriff’s deputy responded at 5:14 p.m. Saturday to a possible structure fire on 27th Avenue near the Reno County line. It turned out to be a controlled burn, and all units were disregarded.
