HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson police
Officers responded at 2:09 p.m. Wednesday to the area behind the 1300 block of North Main for a report of possible juveniles on top of the water tower. It turned out to be BPU workers.

At 6:16 p.m. Wednesday, an officer responded the alley behind the 300 block of North Cherry for an accident involving a vehicle driven by Aaron Rush of McPherson. He was cited for exhibition of speed.

Sheriff
A deputy responded at 11:02 a.m. Thursday to the 200 block of Plum Avenue for burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. Someone broke into an enclosed tool trailer and took an undetermined amount of tools.

Fire
Firefighters responded to the 800 block of East Kansas Avenue at 3:24 a.m. Wednesday for a suspicious odor. It was electrical in nature, and BPU was notified.

Area
GALVA - An officer and deputies responded at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday to the 100 block of East U.S. Highway 56 for a possible burglary in progress. They did not find anyone in the area, and everything appeared to be OK.
