Jamie Lee Sims and Lucas Gordon Cooke were married Oct. 8, 2011, in a double ring ceremony on the lawn of the bride's parent's home with family in attendance.
Pastor Karen Rice-Ratzlaff officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Glenda Sims and the granddaughter of Archie and Margaret Smith, of McPherson.
The groom is the son of Doug Cooke, and Jodi and Chuck Harold, also of McPherson.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a diamond white full-length satin gown and carried a bouquet of lavender roses with purple lisianthus.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Fiedler, the bride's sister, and junior bridesmaid was Kaylee Cooke, the groom's daughter.
Best man was Shaun McEuen, friend of the groom, and the junior groomsman was Avi Cooke, son of the groom. Groomsmen included Ron Gable, Chris Gable, Richard Martinez, and Dave Howe.
Wendy Gottwald was the bride's personal attendant, and Jennifer Burch the wedding coordinator.
The bride and groom were honored at a dinner reception and dance at the Best Western Holiday Manor Convention Center. The groom's sister, Amy Lopez, was the guest book attendant, and the groom's cousin, Abbey Cullinaine, received the gifts. The groom's aunt, Jackie Schragg, tended the cake table.
The bride is a graduate of McPherson High School and McPherson College. She is employed by USD 418 in McPherson as a second grade teacher at Washington Elementary School and assistant high school cross-
country coach.
The groom is a graduate of Pretty Prairie High School and attended Wichita State University. He is employed at Hospira in McPherson as a pharmaceutical attendant and is also a youth basketball instructor.
The couple resides in McPherson.
