Katherine Elise Unruh and Timothy John Kurtz were married May 29, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in McPherson.
Shane Kennard performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and June Unruh of McPherson. The groom is the son of John and Elaine Kurtz of Heber Springs, Ark.
Grandparents of the bride are Elsie Unruh, Goessel, and Joan Unruh, McPherson. The groom's grandparents are John and the late Martha Jean Kurtz of Nashville, Tenn.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, mermaid-style gown with a lace overlay that flowed into a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of orange calla lilies and light green hydrangeas.
Maid of honor was Julayne Unruh, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Erin Schooler, Olathe; Sarah Nicholson, Siloam Springs, Ark.; Caprice Applequist, San Francisco, Calif.; and Sharon Antu and Julie Berryhill, both of Oklahoma City, Okla. They wore three styles of dresses in shades of gray.
Elisabeth Unruh, Emily Unruh, and Audrey Unruh, the bride's sisters, were candle lighters and stood up as attendants.
Best man was Justin MacDonald of Brawley, Calif. Groomsmen were Scott Risinger and Victor Conceicao, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; William Unruh, brother of the bride, McPherson; and Paul Huenefeld III, Arkadelphia, Ark.
Pianist was Anna Lastfogel, sister of the groom. Vocalists were John Kurtz, father of the groom and Abby Wilson and Katherine Wortley, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Ushers were Michael Lastfogel, brother-in-law of the groom, Richmond, Va.; Andy Bruce, Galva; and Kelly Bruce, Moundridge, cousins of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by parents of the groom, was held at The Upper Room on May 28.
A reception was held in the garden behind the McPherson Museum. The reception was hosted by Justin and Leslie Epp Gordon, Topeka; Nathan Epp, Olathe; Cynthia Murray, Columbia, Mo.; and Kate Becker, Washington, D.C., all cousins of the bride.
Following a honeymoon to Seattle, Wash., the couple is at home in Savannah, Ga., where the groom is a graduate student at Savannah College of Art and Design, and the bride is a nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
