HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson police
At 6:32 a.m. Friday, an officer took a report of burglary and theft from a vehicle that occurred overnight in the 1000 block of Heatherwood Place. Loss was estimated at $1,800.

Officers responded to the 900 block of North Walnut at 4:37 p.m. Saturday and arrested a 54-year-old McPherson male on charges of domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He was booked and later released on a $371 bond. EMS personnel also responded for a medical emergency, but a subject refused service.

Sheriff
A deputy took a report of a burglary and theft from a residence in the 1100 block of Iron Horse Road at 11:20 p.m. Saturday. Someone took a computer and stereo equipment valued at $1,720.

Fire
Firefighters responded to a grass fire alongside the railroad tracks on old U.S. Highway 81 north of Comanche Road at 4:09 p.m. Friday.

Area
GALVA - Firefighters and a deputy responded at 11:58 a.m. Saturday to a downed power line at 19th Avenue and Iron Horse Road. BPU was also contacted.

INMAN - Firefighters responded at 9:35 p.m. Saturday to the 500 block of 13th Avenue for a fire that turned out to be an attended burn pile. Firefighters contacted the landowner who said everything was OK.
