  • Marty Case, 57, of rural Windom, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at her home while in the company of family members.

  • Marty Case, 57, of rural Windom, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at her home while in the company of family members.
    Marty was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on August 10, 1955, the daughter of the late Benjamin Clark and Martha Sophie (Boege) Twaddle, who survives her of McPherson, Kansas.
    She attended McPherson, Kansas, elementary schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 1973.  Marty later graduated from the Hutchinson, Kansas Junior College LPN and RN Programs.
    Marty was a Registered Nurse and was the Director of Nursing, in long term care, at Sandstone Heights in Little River, Kansas until her health required an early retirement. She had also worked as a waitress at various places, as an insurance agent, and a college secretary prior to her chosen profession as a registered nurse.
    She was a member of the American Nurses Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, North American Game Bird Association.
    Marty married Richard Case on September 4, 1981 at McPherson, Kansas.
    Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Case, of rural Windom, Kansas; her daughter, Katy Aichele, and husband, John, of rural Windom, Kansas; her son,  Cole Case, of McPherson, Kansas; her step-daughter, Kellie Case, of Olathe, Kansas; her mother, Martha Twaddle of McPherson, Kansas; two brothers, Timm Twaddle and wife, Margo, of Olathe, Kansas; and Dennis Twaddle of McPherson, Kansas; a niece and nephew and their children; other relatives and a host of friends.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin C. Twaddle.
    Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.
    The memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 with Reverend Mike Marion officiating.
    Private family inurnment of cremated remains will be at a later date.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid Street, McPherson, KS 67460.
