  • HIGHLIGHTS McPherson police Officers responded at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of North Grimes. After arriving on-scene, the officers found a non-state-reportable, noninjury accident involving a vehicle driven by Robert McNabb, 49, McPherson. He was arrested on charges of a third offense DUI, driving while suspended, failure to show proof of liability insurance, expired registration, refusal of a breathalyzer test, leaving the scene of an accident and exhibition of speed. He was released from the McPherson County Jail after posting $3,436 bond. Sheriff A deputy investigated at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday a state-reportable, noninjury accident involving a vehicle driven by Merlin Goering, 46, Canton, and a deer that occurred a half-mile north of Dakota Road on 27th Avenue. Fire Firefighters, EMS personnel and officers responded at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday to a fire alarm in the 2300 block of East Kansas Avenue. All was found to be OK, as a sprinkler had malfunctioned. Area LINDSBORG — An officer, EMS personnel and firefighters responded at 5:39 p.m. Wednesday to a state-reportable, noninjury accident involving a vehicle driven by Pamela Morel, 58, Marquette, and Heather House, 32, Lindsborg, that occurred at State and Chestnut.
