CONCORDIA, Neb. — Concordia College scored a pair of second-half goals Wednesday night to blank Central Christian College’s men’s soccer team, 2-0.
Concordia dominated the action with a 19-7 advantage in shots, but Tiger goalie Alex Akrawi time and again came up with some key saves, totaling six for the game.
“We were fortunate to be 0-0 after one,” CCC coach Aaron Hoxie said. “They were better in the second, but it was still a winnable game. They are well coached and exposed our flaws, however, we beat ourselves because we are selfish players and dribble too much. Or we just don't know how to play. Either way that is my fault.”
CCC, now 6-4-1, hosts Bellevue at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
