Delors LaMar Morgan, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at the Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Mo. She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Gypsum, the daughter of Albin and Minnie (Webster) Swalander. She graduated from Gypsum High School in 1942.
Delors worked at Schilling Air Force Base as a secretary for Civil Engineering while receiving training as a court reporter. She then transferred to Strategic Air Command Headquarters at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Neb., where she was a court reporter until her retirement in 1987. Upon her retirement, she was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award. After retiring, Delors worked at Budget Rent-A-Car as a professional driver and was a volunteer at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo.
Survivors include her cousin and caregiver, Lorraine Miller and husband, Alan, of Warrensburg, Mo.; niece, Carolyn Smith and husband Rick, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and many cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Olson's Mortuary, Canton. Burial will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. A memorial has been established with the Nebraska Humane Society, in care of the mortuary.
