Area Record Highlights, Oct. 12

HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson police
Officers made contact at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday with a vehicle in the 1300 block of North Main in reference to a driving complaint. They arrested Melody Smith, 49, Lorraine, for DUI and cited her for refusing a breathalyzer test and transporting an open container. She was released from the McPherson County Jail after posting $1,086 bond.

Fire
Firefighters and EMS personnel responded at 9:16 p.m. Wednesday to a grass fire in the area of Old 81 Highway and Dakota Road. The fire was extinguished.

Area
INMAN — An officer took a report at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday of a theft of an outside air conditioning unit from a commercial building in the 700 block of Cherokee Road. An estimated loss is not yet available.
