  • Students and staff of Central Christian College will welcome alumni and friends to campus for the college’s 2012 homecoming and family weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

  • Students and staff of Central Christian College will welcome alumni and friends to campus for the college’s 2012 homecoming and family weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Events will begin during the chapel service Friday morning and continue through the weekend. Friday evening, students’ musical and artistic talents will be on display during the fine arts spotlight starting at 7 p.m. in Greer Auditorium. A reception for the students will follow in the lobby. At 9:30 p.m., the late night basketball preview will be in the south gym. Saturday’s activities include something for everyone. The day will begin with Central Christian College alumni challenging current tennis players. A short prayer commissioning service will be at the new college tennis courts on South Maple Street with play beginning after the ceremony. Throughout the day, alumni will take on Central Christian College’s other sports teams. The third annual art exhibit, art lecture and reception will begin at 2 p.m. at the Wesley Black Fine Arts Center. The Lady Tigers soccer team will take on Central Baptist at 5:30 p.m. with a tailgate meal starting at 5 p.m. and ice cream floats served by the student activities council at 7 p.m. Homecoming coronation will be during halftime of the game. The men’s game will follow. Any Central Christian College past or current siblings are invited to take part in the sibling triathlon games, following the women’s soccer game, at the Broadhurst Student Center. Registration for sibling events will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday in the Wesley Black Fine Arts Center Lobby. On Sunday, alumni and friends are invited to attend the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the McPherson Free Methodist Church followed by a Sunday dinner at the Broadhurst Student Center. The cost is $5 per person. Central Christian College alumni and friends are invited to join students and staff for a weekend of friends, festivities and fun.
