  • During McPherson College’s centennial year, Millard Fuller inspired more than 60 McPherson College students to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity in the McPherson area. This year the local McPherson Habitat Chapter is completing its 25th home. During Homecoming, Habitat will have the following activities: Sunday: 10 a.m. — McPherson Church of the Brethren worship: McPherson College's 125th celebration, Brown Auditorium. Noon — Lunch, Siek Dining Room, Student Union — Go through the line at the dining hall and come to the Siek Dining Room. Program: Informal sharing, sharing memories, building homes Nick Gosnell, sports announcer for KBBE, will share his family’s experience receiving a Habitat house in McPherson. Others are invited to share as well. 1 p.m. — Walk to Friendship Hall (Brown Auditorium) to view the students’ Habitat House Quilt that helped build a home in McPherson. Alberta Grosbach, Enders, Nebraska, will share her experience when she won the quilt on auction for $1,000.
