Tiger cagers 3rd, 9th in preseason polls

The Central Christian College men's basketball team has been projected to finish third in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Tigers finished 19-13 (8-6) in 2011-2012 to earn the third place vote in the rankings released Tuesday. Bellevue University, the 2011-2012 MCAC Regular Season and Tournament champions are projected to repeat.
Meanwhile, the women's basketball squad was picked 9th in their preseason poll after finishing last year with a 6-24 (0-14) record.
Both squads open the 2012-2013 seasons Oct. 29 against Union College.
