  • Katlyn Hill, 24, of McPherson, passed away at 1:26 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, while in the company of family members, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson.
    Katlyn was born in McPherson on July 8, 1988, a daughter of Penni Lea (Sechrist) and David Wayne Hill.
    Katlyn attended McKids, Roosevelt Elementary School, McPherson Middle School, and graduated from McPherson High School in McPherson in 2010.
    She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson, where she was Baptized on Oct. 30, 1988, by Pastor Wayne Carmany.
    She was a member of Kids with Dreams and Disability Supports.
    Surviving family members include her parents, Penni and David Hill of McPherson; her sisters, Meredith Hill of Great Bend, and Taryn Hill of McPherson; her paternal grandparents, Robert "Bob" and Goldie Hill of McPherson; her maternal grandparents, Phil "Rollis" and Marilyn Sechrist of Salina; her uncles and aunts, Craig Hill of McPherson, Debra L. "Debi" Hill of McPherson, Barbara "Barbi" and Mark Harris of Great Bend, Randy Sechrist and Kerry Martinez of Shawnee, Sonya and Dan Meador of Odessa, Texas; her cousins, Robby and Ryan Hill, Alby, Grant, and Marley Harris, Amber  Binkley, Kevin and Holly Binkley and their children, Cheyenne and Scarlet; other relatives; many caretakers; teachers; and friends.
    Katy was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Shirley Ann Hill.
    Friends are invited to call  from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson.
    The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in  McPherson, with The Reverend Tim Leaf officiating.
    The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disability Supports of the Great Plains or Kids with Dreams, and they can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home 222 W. Euclid St.; McPherson, KS 67460.
