  • We, the taxpayers, cannot afford another four years of David Page as county attorney.
Let me give you a brief outline of my personal experience with Page.
I am a small business owner in Galva who he has trumped up bogus charges against in criminal and traffic court. I have done absolutely nothing illegal, and I proved that in court.
In the meantime, there was lots of legal work done costing you and me as taxpayers.
He is blowing your taxes on frivolous unwarranted cases while about 70 serious criminal cases that have been submitted to him are piling up on his desk.
Every time he gets questioned about his behavior, he blows and goes about statistics. He relies on these statistics as his defense because he knows most of us don't understand them. These statistics can be manipulated to read any way you want.
One example would be someone is arrested on a serious charge, and the case is plea bargained down to a much lesser charge. Statistically this will show up as a win or conviction when the person got off with a slap on the wrist.
Ask your police officers or sheriff deputy, and they will agree Page is not competent to be in the position he is in. On Nov. 6, we all need to step up and do the right thing and vote this clown out of office.
We cannot afford another four years of Page. Write-in Brian Bina and stop the waste of taxpayer dollars.
    — Matt Hanson,
    Galva
