Ruby Mae Smith Koehn, 95, of Pine Village went peacefully into Heaven Nov. 2, 2012, and is now with Jesus, her Savior and Lord.
She was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Ringwood, Okla., to Dave A. and Lizzie Wedel Smith.
Ruby married Ernest Koehn Aug. 18, 1942, near Ringwood, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1985. They made Kansas their home, residing near Copeland, Dodge City, McPherson and Moundridge. Ruby’s legacy of 95 years includes being a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, friend, neighbor and more.
She is survived by her four children, Leanna and Bob Gaskins, San Francisco, Calif., Ernetta and Grant Skerlec, Lakewood, Wash., Bob and Lynn Koehn, Orlando, Fla., Tony and Ranel Koehn, McPherson; five grandchildren, and many others who will miss her gentle spirit and sweet smile.
The service of celebration will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Free Church, Moundridge. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Moundridge Funeral Home and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Mound Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to Pine Village, Moundridge Evangelical Church or Campus Crusade for Christ, all in care of the Moundridge Funeral Home, P.O.
