  • All-KCAC volleyball honors were announced Tuesday, and three McPherson Bulldogs found their way onto the lists. Freshman outside-middle hitter Aubrey Hoover was named to the All-KCAC Second Team, while sophomore outside hitter Tori Phelan and senior defensive specialist Tiffany Rooker were named Honorable Mention. Hoover has had a phenomenal year for McPherson College, racking up a .284 hitting percentage with 322 kills and 361.5 points during the regular season. She was recognized for her efforts by the KCAC on Oct. 22, where she was named both the Player and Hitter of the Week after her performances against Bethel College and the University of Saint Mary. Phelan recorded 253 kills and 282.2 points with a .170 hitting percentage in 2012 for the Bulldogs. Phelan also was a huge benefit to McPherson with her serving, where she was credited with 18 service aces. Rooker provided the Bulldogs with a strong defensive presence, as she had 429 digs throughout the regular season. Ottawa University, led by Coach of the Year Tom Symons, is the KCAC regular season champion. Katie Vogts of Tabor College has been named Player of the Year.
