  • Central Christian College landed three Tigers on the All-MCAC soccer lists, including two on the men’s first team. Goal keeper Alex Akrawi and defender Grant Rardon, both seniors, were named to the All-MCAC men’s First Team after the Tigers finished the season with an 8-8-2 record. Akrawi only allowed 24 goals in 2012, averaging only 1.35 goals per game for the Tigers. He made 99 saves throughout the season. Rardon started in all 18 games for the Tigers this season, scoring 18 goals on 20 shots on goal. He also added four assists this year. For the women’s soccer team, sophomore forward Krystina Powell was named to the All-MCAC Second Team after a 2-15 season for the Tigers. Powell was a bright spot for Central this past season, as she scored 28 points, taking a team-leading 39 shots on opposing goalies. She averaged 1.65 goals a game for the Tigers and also led the team in total shots taken with 62. The honors from the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference were announced last week.
