  • The cutlines on page two of the Reflections publication inserted into Saturday’s Sentinel were printed with the incorrect story.
The lower right cutline should have read Carl Kasey of McPherson, second from left, places a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The trip to Washington, D.C., in September was made possible by Kansas Honor Flights. Courtesy photo.
The photo at left should have read Carl Kasey, seated, and Morris Heitschmidt, are both residents of McPherson and have been friends for 50 years. Both began serving in World War II in 1943.
The photo at upper right should have read Allan Madden of McPherson saw the World War II Memorial for the first time last month. He served from 1944 to 1945.
The publication was designed at another location in the GateHouse chain. The Sentinel apologizes for the errors.
