  • The Central Christian men continued their winning ways over the weekend, as the Tigers held on for a 68-54 win over Hillsdale Baptist College Saturday. Cold shooting and turnovers kept the Tigers from running away with the game, as Central shot a little under 50 percent in the win and coughed up the ball a season high 23 times in the win. Still, Central went into the locker room at the half with a 31-18 lead. The same problems continued to plague Central Christian into the second half, as they never really seemed to get out of first gear, allowing the Saints to go on a 9-4 run in the final three minutes that closed the 19 point gap. Kaelon Gary and Scott Brooks led the Tigers with 15 points each, while Christopher Jones chipped in 12. The Saints’ Jacob Campbell led all scorers with 21 points. Jones added eight rebounds for Central. The Tigers host Bethel College tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Ed Pyle Sports Complex. This is a rematch from Nov. 1, where Central squeeked out a 72-71 win.
